(27 Mar 2015) KATE'S STEPS OUT IN PUBLIC FOR THE LAST TIME BEFORE BABY NUMBER TWO
The Duchess of Cambridge has been conducting her last public royal engagements Friday (27 MARCH 2015) before the the birth of her second child.
Kate and husband Prince William have spent much of the day in south London touring the Stephen Lawrence Centre and learning about the work of the XLP (eXceL Project), a charity working with disadvantaged youngsters.
The Duke and Duchess joined Baroness Doreen Lawrence at the centre, which is named after her son Stephen, who was fatally stabbed in April 1993.
During their visit, the royal couple met staff, volunteers and children.
William and Kate also visited Christ Church in Gypsy Hill, south London, to learn more about the work of XLP and to watch a presentation by young performers from the organization's Arts Programme.
The last event of the day saw the royal couple head to XLP's mobile recording studio at a housing estate in nearby Sydenham.
On a visit to a children's center last week, Kate told a volunteer that the baby was due "mid to late April," although Kensington Palace has not released details of her exact due date.
The Duchess is highly unlikely to make another official public appearance until after the birth.
